Title: Maintenance Office Secretary
Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor
Job Goal: Perform duties assigned in a friendly, organized and professional manner.
Performance Responsibilities:
- The maintenance office secretary will adhere to all local, state and federal regulations.
- Adhere to all regulations set forth by the Poplar Bluff Board of Education.
- Typing skills are required.
- Professional dress is required.
- Exhibit professional telephone skills.
- Answers all incoming calls to the maintenance office.
- Maintains copies of correspondence and all other materials pertaining to the office.Job Duties and Responsibilities:

- Greets visitors in a polite manner.
- Maintains appointment calendar for supervisor and department.
- Prepares state and federal reports when required.
- Maintains federal and state regulations updates.
- Provide building officials copies of regulations to post in each building, when updates are made.
- Completes all purchase orders for the maintenance department.
- Responsible for daily deposits made for maintenance office.
- Responsible for budgeting controls. Assist director in the budget.
- When director is not available serve as a resource to others for routine questions.
- Fill warehouse supply orders.
- Gather data and prepare statistical materials.
- Provide assistance with all duties assigned by the director.
Essential Function of the Job:
- Ability to exert up to 30-60 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
3-10 times per day.
- Must be able to climb and work from ladders.
- Must be able to communicate (both verbally and written) with teachers, administrators, the State Department and the U.S. Department of Education.
- Exhibit the ability to understand speech at normal levels and the phone.
- Manual dexterity to operate a telephone and enter data into computer using both hands.
- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors (outdoors in hot, wet, and cold weather).
- Must hold valid driver's license and be able to travel to buildings within the district.
- Fulfill other duties assigned by the administration.
